RIBBON CUTTING: The first Dr. Ben Carson Reading Room on a Florida high school campus was officially opened by special guest Mrs. Candy Carson (center). The “Hurricane Cafe” was donated jointly by Sid Dinerstein (from left between Assistant Principal Francisco Lopez and CEO Dr. Emma Banks), along with Mrs. Esther Dinerstein, Gwen and Gerry Richman, and supplemental contributors Rita and Joe Scheller (not shown). Prior to the grand opening, students enjoyed a special assembly program that included guest remarks and performances by the Drama Club and Drumline.
