NEW CANES COMING THROUGH: Freshmen of the Class of 2027 were on campus July 26 for New Student Orientation. Hurricanes staff and students from different careers, clubs, sports, and academics spoke to the Newbies. Student Government Association (SGA) members and other students provided campus tours and displayed the uniform policy for the incoming Canes and their guardians. SGA members also lead the new incomers to the cafeteria or the media center to take a photo for their ID and put what career they desire to be in.

A STEP TOWARD THE FUTURE:  We stand here today and entering a new chapter in life, some of us will go off to college and university and others will go directly into the workforce. Challenges will be ahead of us but I want you to take these challenges head-on and regardless of how you do it, people will always criticize you. The Great Hank Aaron had once said: “ The only thing that feels better than winning is when nobody else thought you could”. My senior class tonight we up ya hear me?.  Words were spoken by the 2023 senior class president Eli Baptiste. The class of 2023 on the night of May 22nd did the very thing they worked for the past four years, so they walked the stage and turned their tassels to the right. They are longer students but young adults of the future.
