NEW CANES COMING THROUGH: Freshmen of the Class of 2027 were on campus July 26 for New Student Orientation. Hurricanes staff and students from different careers, clubs, sports, and academics spoke to the Newbies. Student Government Association (SGA) members and other students provided campus tours and displayed the uniform policy for the incoming Canes and their guardians. SGA members also lead the new incomers to the cafeteria or the media center to take a photo for their ID and put what career they desire to be in.

ENHANCING EDUCATION: On April 22nd, Inlet Grove hosted the Live Medical Symposium along with the TD Leroy Jefferson Society. A Medical Symposium is created for healthcare practitioners or anyone that seeks a better understanding of some of the most important health and medical related topics affecting patient care. The auditorium was filled with students and Medical Professionals from Palm Beach County, such as Jupiter, Boca, Boynton & Belle Glade, etc.

CONSEQUENCE: Guest speaker Kevin Brooks came to the auditorium to share his story with the canes, to help them see the outcome of drinking and driving. In 2000, he was just 16 years old and he was drunk while driving. He got into a car collision and as a result the life of his best friend was lost. He became paralyzed, dealt with depression and began have suicidal thoughts. Although, later on recovered mentally, and began to make a change towards the better by informing others on the dangers of drunk driving.
