A LAVISH DINNER : First priority had a Christmas party on Dec. 15 to enjoy themselves and to celebrate the holiday of Christmas. Ms. Pientka said, It looks fantastic! Great sponsors to have a celebration with the students! They need to do things like this; boost their spirits!.

CHORAL: A blessing, not a lot of practice time due to schedules but those kids are dedicated, said Ms. Graham, Medical Academy instructor and sponsor of the Choir Club. On Dec. 13 the choir will host their first Christmas performance. Marline Alerte, a Junior in the LPN program said they have been preparing and now she thinks its time for them to bring it to the light. To be able to be a part of this amazing group is a blessing, said Annacheka, also a Junior in LPN.

GETTING PREPARED: Ms. Georgia is looking for new participants for the 15th annual My Teacher My Hero Gala. Senior Trey Camburn of the Culinary Academy is holding up the signup sheet, a permission slip that must be signed by the participants parents and a donation bucket that will be used for extra help toward getting students prepared for the event.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: The Canes learned how to be more effective journalists during the annual Palm Beach Post High School Newspaper Workshop on Nov. 5 at the Airport Hilton. The sessions included producing a newspaper front page and writing lunch desert reviews that were critiqued by Food Editor Liz Balmaseda, a two-time Pulitzer Prize winner.

MEET AND FEAST: The Media Center was closed to the students and staff because of the first Career Advisory Meeting of the school year during third period on Nov 20. The advisers discussed their future plans for Inlet Grove Community High School while some of the Culinary Academy students served them a Thanksgiving theme lunch and dessert.
