Not the same district

August 30, 2022

Regarding the school issues affecting children, attorney Corey Smith, born and raised in Riviera Beach, ran for Palm Beach County School Board District 7. He’s now in the election runoff which takes place on Nov. 8, 2022. Smith graduated from Morehouse college with a bachelor’s degree in political science and was a Public Defender for 4 ½ years.
He is known to be the most qualified and experienced fit for that seat in the district.
With his experience, he wants to improve the public education system and protect the students and community. “It’s time to make the system better”, said Corey Smith.
He is sure to help with student rights and equality. He wants everyone to know how hard he works and how much he is determined. Smith’s role as an attorney is deeper than just “beating the case”.
He also wants to improve problems with charter schools and make everything better. Smith is always looking for when and where he can be a help. “Yea, that’s what I do”, said Corey. Smith believes people only understand things from their point of view. He said “and a lot of times people do not care.” Having people on the district board who wants to improve the system won’t happen overnight, but it will happen.
