Cobras top Canes 34-6

DISCIPLINED MENTALITY: The Hurricanes took a loss against Fort Pierce on Friday Sep. 20.

The Fort Pierce cobras defeated the Hurricanes on Friday with a strong defense, leaving several players injured. 

 

The Cobras wide receiver ran in for the first touchdown at 8:26 of the first quarter. The extra kick was good, leading the Cobras 7-0.

The Canes and Cobras defense stood strong for the rest of the first quarter, starting the second with the Cobras still leading 7-0. 

 

The Cobras ran in for a second touchdown at 8:54, the extra kick was no good leading the Cobras 13-0.

 

An interception was caught by Cobras cornerback at 8:30, switching the Hurricanes from offense to defense. 

 

The Cobras then ran in for a touchdown with 31 seconds left of the second quarter, the extra kick was good ending the first half with the Cobras leading 20-0.

 

The Cobras started off the third quarter with a touchdown at 11:26, the extra kick was good leading them 27-0. 

 

Starting off the fourth quarter, the Cobras ran in for a touchdown at 11:55, the extra kick was good leading the Cobras 34-0. 

 

Canes wide receiver Zion Willis, scored the first and last touchdown of the game. The extra kick was no good, and the game ended with a diver of 34-6.

OPEN HOUSE: On Aug. 29 at 6 PM, Canes' parents were welcomed into the school to meet their children's teachers, with each class period lasting 10 minutes.

Hi guys, my name is Jessica Bureau and I'm a Senior in the Medical Academy. You’ll normally find me around campus participating in almost every activity. Things that interest me are photography, interior design, criminal justice, and the medical field. I love going out and being a helping hand. I hope to become someone else's motivation as I finish high school.

What's up! My name is Alaja, but everyone calls me Lála. I started in the Medical Academy but switched my career to Journalism. I was born in Brockton, MA, and moved to Florida without my parents at the age of 12. I am half Angolan and half Cape Verdean, and understand all versions of Portuguese due to my culture. I used to do/play soccer, track, cross country, taekwondo, jazz band, and advanced band. I was a tutor for the 21st-century program and a coach for a program called Playworks. I love food, music, theories, my two dogs, hanging out with friends, and, of course, talking! I am everywhere and nowhere at the same time, so have fun looking for me.
