Released in theaters on November 22nd wicked the long awaited film adaptation of the broadway music, was set for release in 2024, has soared through the weeks with many feedbacks and outlooks about the movie.
The movie is directed by Jon M. Chu, which is best known for his work on Crazy Rich Asians, and stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda.
Based on the Gregory Maguire’s 1995 novel Wicked, an untold story of the witched focusing on elephant which is the misunderstood green skinned girl who becomes an wicked witch and there is Glinda the “good witch”.
As Elphaba is an absolute win, her portrayal of a misunderstood witch is both powerful and vulnerable, capturing the complexity of a character who is torn between the desire for acceptance.
Cynthia Erivo & Ariana Grande have both been praised for their vocal talents, with Erivo´s powerhouse voice and Grande´s pop princess appeal offering strong potential for the roles of Elphaba and Glinda.
This movie is highly recommended just like the movie Moana that released on November 27.
