The National Honor Society of Inlet Grove Community High School is hosting after school tutoring every Monday and Thursday.

Thirteen students came to the media center Feb. 12 to avail themselves of the NHS’s assistance.

Students learned from each other about Algebra, Geometry, Human Geography and Spanish, said Lourdes Reyes, the faculty sponsor.

“Keep on sending your students that need help,” said Mrs. Reyes. “The National Honor Society members will gladly help their peers.”

The tutoring sessions will be held in the Media Center, Mondays and Thursdays from 3:15 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.

Students also will be working on projects, research, debate and career topics.

The tutors are NHS members, peer tutors, as well as Mrs. Reyes and Media Specialist Margaret Bell.

“We have a senior that is good in writing waiting for students who seek help in essay writing,” said Mrs. Reyes. “If you have any student that need help in writing, please send them to us.”

Mrs. Reyes added, “If you know of existing and potential new peer tutors, please inform them that we welcome them to help us in this endeavor.”
