Willie Chavers Jr.
GIRLS IN GOVERNMENT: Pre-Law Academy Lonnie Martens (from left), met with the three students who have been selected from Inlet Grove to attend Girls’ State 2016 at Florida State University in Tallahassee: Rainne Kasik, Joudelyne Altidor and Linedjie Joseph. Mrs. Martens presented each of them with a travel bag full of toiletries for their trip as a gift from the Pre-Law Academy. The students were selected and will be sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary to attend the weeklong mock government/leadership conference. “Inlet has had three girls win the 2+2 Scholarship (two years at Tallahassee Community College, two years at FSU) since I have been involved with this organization,” said Mrs. Martens, “and we hope to have another winner this year!” The two alternates selected, not pictured, are Jamina Claude and Jordae Cole.
