SAC Report: Parents stepping up
Inlet Grove’s 2016 School Advisory Council held its first meeting Sept. 20 to figure out positions and put heads together. “Its just the beginning,” said Judith Lawrence, this year’s SAC president.
The SAC has set a goal for the 2016-2017 school year of getting more parents involved.
“Students and parents can help by spreading the word, handing out flyers, participating at games, attending meetings and helping out,” said Ms. Lawrence.
The SAC and Title I members plan to meet once a month on the 20th at 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come and refreshments will be served.
That includes this Thursday, Oct. 20, in the Media Center.
Ms. Lawrence will discuss with parents how they can help improve Inlet Grove, how to get parents more involved, and other topics.
“I’m honored to help Inlet Grove become a better school and have things students will like here,” she said. “Watch GroveWatch for further updates!”
