Tornado tantrum
This week started off with a code red drill and today in first period, Mr. Mcdermott announced,” We are on tornado watch. This is not a drill. Send students to their second periods now and don’t let them leave.”
The sky was gray and full of clouds.
“I just thought it was going to rain,” said junior in journalism Hannah Snow.
Teachers were sent emails of instructions to follow for the tornado watch.
“Hallway activity is prohibited,” said Principal Francisco Lopez. “Don’t leave your classroom unless it is an emergency.”
“We are no longer on tornado watch,” said Mr. McDermott at 10:59. “However, weather is unpredictable, pay attention to the lightning, go to lunch and stay safe.”
