Loss of a family member: Chef Newman
“We have lost a dear friend and valued colleague,” said Human Resources officer Ms. Duperval today in an email to Inlet Grove staff. “Chef Newman passed away this week unexpectedly. Our grief and shock are little compared to what Chef Newman’s family must be feeling. Our hearts and prayers goes out to them. More information about her funeral arrangement to follow at a later day. And if any one has any questions please feel free to contact Dr. Banks at 561-644-5194.”

I did not know chef Newman personally, but i know she loved her students because i would always hear how she wanted more for her culinary kids.

Chef Tammy Newman was a trusted colleague and friend. I admired her skill, dedication and vision. She was imaginative and creative in all things. She always sought new ways to engage her kids and make her program even better. And as we all know, her program was pretty great! Most of all though, she made a tremendous difference for so many of her students. I know personally that she didn’t just teach, she transformed lives. She will be greatly missed.

It has been a very tough pill to swallow, But I feel fortunate that I had the pleasure of knowing her and working along her side this year.
RIP Chef and rest assure that your students and the Inlet grove staff will carry your legacy and mission.
