CAPTURING THE TASTE: On March 28, the Culinary Academy served appetizers to guests and students with many different flavors and styles in the Media Center for the Career Showcase. They were one of the best groups representing their career,  said Keren Joseph, a junior in the Medical Academy.

SUNDAE FUNDAY: On Valentines Day, Feb. 14, students who have earned 500 or more HERO points can receive one ice cream during lunch from Culinary students. The topping selection included sliced bananas, whipped cream, Oreo crumbs, sprinkles, cherries, and chocolate syrup.

THE CANES WERE THERE: To end the school year, the Multimedia team took a field trip to Wekiwa Springs State Park to enjoy its crystal-clear waters and long, winding nature trails after another successful year of publications.

Agony of defeat

After a rough and stormy night, The Pahokee Blue Devils went home with a victory against The Hurricanes, winning 29-6.

Starting off the first half, The Blue Devils caught an interception and ran in for a touchdown at the 10:11 mark leading Pahokee 6-0. The extra kick was faked, instead The Blue Devils ran in for two extra points leading 8-0 in the first four minutes of the first quarter.

The Blue Devils running back, Janorris Wilcheer ran in for a touchdown at the 4:22 mark, the extra kick was good leading Pahokee 15-0. 

Shortly after, The Blue Devils intercepted The Canes and ran in for their 3rd touchdown in the first half. The extra kick was good, leading The Blue Devils 23-0.

Due to a lightning delay, the game was put on hold during the first minute of the 3rd quarter. Around 40 minutes later, the game resumed and some players such as Christian Martin, a senior in the Digital Design Academy said, “We have a chance at winning tonight.” 

Starting off the fourth quarter, The Blue Devils ran in for a touchdown at the 10:58 mark, the extra kick was no good leading them 29-0.

Finishing off the 4th quarter, The Hurricanes made an unexpected touchdown at the 3:07 mark by #8, Jamal Rowley. The extra kick was no good, and the game ended with a score of 29-6.
