I don’t know when clothes started becoming some sort of rivalry, but it seems like now it’s Quarter Zips versus Nike Techs and, I’m proud to say, I’m on the quarter zip side. Everywhere I go, people are walking around in Nike Techs like they’re sponsored athletes, ready for a photoshoot or a heist, no in between.
Meanwhile, I’m in my quarter zip clean, classy, and calm. It doesn’t try too hard, it just makes me look like I have my life together, even when I absolutely don’t. A quarter zip works for class, brunch, a meeting, a casual hang basically any situation that doesn’t require Olympic-level cardio.
Nike Techs scream “look at me.” Quarter zips quietly say, “I’m already winning.” And honestly? That’s enough for me.
