Ms. Dickerson is Inlet Grove High School’s new biology and physical science teacher.
She explained that her job is to “plan, instruct, and facilitate my students’ learning of biology and physical science.”
“My passion is to help young people, service them, and provide them with the details they need so they can make the right decisions in their adult life,” she said.
Ms. Dickerson attended Palm Beach State College as a dual-enrollment student before transferring to Howard University in Washington, D.C., where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Administration.
Before coming to Inlet Grove, she worked as a teacher, later stepping away to study to become a flight attendant.
In a couple of years, she sees herself “as an entrepreneur with my own non-profit organization, working a job from home, and earning a second degree.”
She also shared a quote to encourage and inspire her students: “The best is yet to come.” She added, “If you work hard now, you will play hard later. But if you play hard now, you’ll be working hard for the rest of your life.”
