Know your staff: Ms. Santos

PASSES, PASSES, PASSES: Ms. Santos writing passes for students to go to class.

How well do you know your staff and teachers? No really, how well do you? Probably not that well, but that’s about to change, with these interviews of our teachers and staff.

This week: You should all know her if you have ever been in Student Services (who hasn’t?). It’s Cassandra Santos, more formally known as Ms. Santos, with the answers everyone has been wanting to know.

How long have you been working at Inlet Grove? I have been working at Inlet since February 2015. This school year will be my third year at Inlet.

How did you come about to work at Inlet? Inlet found me more than I found it. Originally I was working at AT&T where I was there for five years. Then a friend of mine a sheriff officer told me they were looking for some one with my abilities so I looked into it and I got the job.

What is your job title and duties? My job title is secretary to the dean of discipline. My job duties include but are not limited to handling parent calls, appointments and importing referrals into the system.

Do you enjoy working at Inlet? I love my job.

What college did you attend? I attended Miami Dade Community college, but I am currently enrolled online at UCF.

If you had to do another career what would it be and why? If I had to do another career I would be a police officer, because police are able to help impact the community in many ways.

Why do you think dress code is very important? Dress code is very important because the way your appearance is the first way people will perceive you.

What is your favorite part of the day? My favorite part of the day would have to be lunch because during lunch I see the students having fun and enjoying themselves rather than when I see them in the classrooms all calm and focused.
