GIRLS V. BOYS: Oct. 23 during 3rd period in Chef Newman’s level one class one group of girls supervised by Britney Campbell faced off against a group of boys in which I observed in a “ready, set, cook” challenge. The challenge to cook a dish using the main ingredients: chicken, sweet peppers, and rice. They had access to any other ingredients to put together a masterpiece of a dish. The girls group created a pan-seared chicken topped with a BBQ and citrus sauce and fresh sweet peppers to garnish. Judged by Assistant Principal for the class of 2021, Scott McDermott. The verdict was that the girls group had won.
