CLASS ACTION: Pre-Law instructor Dr. Kerkhoffs students experienced meet-and-greets with judges, bailiffs and K-9 dogs, and observed the closing arguments in a criminal trial, May 4 during the “Law Week” activities at the Palm Beach County Courthouse.

What an honor, Your Honor

HONORABLE COMPANY: Attending the 16th annual William M. Holland Scholarship Luncheon along with area law students were (from left) Student Government Association sponsor Ms. Morrison, and SGA members Joudelyne Altidor, Flolaine Francois, Numigine Jean-Bernard, Sarilnar Lam, Nycole Thelwell, Jodi Abilhomme and Shannon James. The students met Benjamin Lloyd Crump, a distinguished lawyer who has won landmark cases, and Judge Moses Baker Jr., who received the Legacy Award for his contributions to the field of Law. The Feb. 3 event also was an occasion for Ms. Morrison to visit with former Palm Beach County Judge Ronald Alvarez, before whom she practiced as a senior attorney for the Department of Children and Families.

Applying the law

YOUR REPRESENTATIVES AT WORK: Medical, Engineering, Digital Design, Journalism and Pre-Law students spent the day teaching, inspiring and working with middle school students at Congress Middle School on Dec. 16. “Our students are proving today that Inlet is an amazing school that offers opportunities that other schools do not,” said the Medical Academy’s Nurse Rebecca Blair. “As always, they are representing Inlet professionally and with pride.”

NEW BEGINNINGS: The scholarship award took place downtown West Palm Beach at the Waterfront Commons on Friday. Sephora Charles and Gabriel Gerig attended the event and were both nominated for the award. Gabriel won first place in the Community Involvement category.

5k Mile Run

MEMORIES: Canes came together to create a club where everyone from different backgrounds can share their differences and learn more about each other culture. Thank you to Gabriel Gerig, Mr. Lopez, Dr. Gira, Mrs. Banks, Mr. Dorvil, Mrs. Companioni, and Mr. Haines, Jonathan Eugene, Eirel Montinola, Cinthia Gonzalez, Linda Morales, Jennifer Geffrard, Adrianna Lizana, and Keane Andrada for giving everyone a chance to learn and be proud of where theyre from, said Pierre Monville.

SERENITY: On Tuesdays and Thursdays, Ms. Skinner will be in front of the cafeteria giving out treats and interacting with students for Mental Health Awareness Month.
