Laziness comes to the best of us. Some people procrastinate, some just don’t move and some don’t do hardly anything with their lives. Laziness reflects our self-esteem, our positive recognition, confidence and our interest in certain activities. 

We were built to move and to progress through life. Laziness is the mother of bad habits. Your future is created in the present moment of today, not yesterday. Remember, don’t get worked up too much or you’ll have a mental breakdown. It’s not worth the anger or stress to worry about for a simple task. Control only what you can, let go of things and focus on your main goals that you set up for yourself. Every day, try to find your inner strength of your well being so that the world will not take away your patience on things.

Whatever you resist you become. We think that we resist certain states, because they are there, but actually they are there because we resist them. Laziness is a habit rather than a mental health issue, according to Wikipedia. Throughout this article, I will give you five tips on how to reduce laziness. 

Tip #1: Make Your Goals Manageable

Set a goal for yourself that is motivational and not to hard to achieve. You don’t want to stress yourself out into achieving things. Strive for progress, not perfection. Like they said, you don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step. Don’t let your want of perfection become procrastination. The more you do, the better you feel. Creating a plan will give direction and confidence to yourself, even if you struggle along the way. 

Tip #2: Discipline Yourself

Dwayne Johnson said that , “All successes begin with self-discipline. It starts with you. ” Make sure that you challenge yourself into things. You will not become a better person if you don’t set up challenges for yourself or change your well being. In order to become a better person, you must change your habits. Not everything comes in easy.

Tip #3: Just Do One Thing At A Time

If you feel overwhelmed with all the things that you set up for yourself, just do one thing at a time. Take your time into things. Focus on doing one thing at a time. Don’t stress yourself into achieving all your goals at once. That’s how you get into the habit of laziness instead of beating it.

Tip #4: Have A Positive Pep Talk With Yourself

Reframing your thoughts will provide you with a lot of benefits to yourself. For instance, it will change the way you think into things. The process of reframing is when you replace your negative thoughts with  positive thoughts. Tell yourself that you can do this and for the fact that you can accomplish your goals. Tell yourself that today the day that you will face your challenges. Tell yourself that doing things can make things happen.

Tip #5: Reward Yourself

Getting a task or a goal done is a reward itself, but make sure you reward yourself for completing something. Focus on what you will gain on getting something done. Celebrate your accomplishment with a special reward, like a pamper night or going out with friends. You can make your rewards more enjoyable, however don’t get too carried away within awarding yourself. Make sure you write down your goals along with your progress.

Trying to overcome the habit of laziness is achieved through a series of goals, activities and actions. Every time you choose to take action into a task, you make yourself stronger and  improve your life. You will be more determined and active within your life by setting a procedure and goal for yourself, instead of just sitting on your butt all day. Always work hard and become a leader. Help others with their habit of laziness and help them get more productive with their lives. Do something today that will make your future self thank you. There is no excuse to be lazy and that’s why you should set goals for yourself to make your lives more valuable.  So get up and get experienced and more productive.
