The Inlet Grove Hurricanes defeated the 4-0 Seminole Ridge Hawks 25-10 for their third victory Friday.

After the Hurricanes took the opening kickoff, Legend Felican passed to TJ Lott, for an 80-yard touchdown. Emmanuel  Cleonard kicked the extra point giving Inlet Grove a 7-0 lead less than a minute into the game.

The Canes stopped the Hawks’ first drive, and proceeded  to march down the field for their second score. On that drive, a personal foul penalty gave the Canes a key first down, quarterback Felican scrambled for another first down, and Ejavious Boswell ran the ball in from the 2-yard line. The missed extra point made the score 13-0 just before the end of the quarter.

Kian Johnson took the second quarter kickoff to the end zone for a 19-0 Hurricane lead after the missed extra point.

The Hawks intercepted Felican at 6:29, and got a pass interference call at the goal line, but had to settle for a field goal with 4 minutes left.

At 3:36 the Hawks made a field kick for 19-3.

A holding penalty negated a 40-yard Sebastian Christian run, before the Canes were forced to punt the ball away at 2:15. The Hawks promptly passed for a touchdown and the extra point made it 19-10. The Canes were driving as the half ended.

7 minutes left into the third quarter, Johnson makes an unexpected touchdown, leaving the score 25-10.

Due to lighting, both teams and crowds were ordered to leave the stadium, causing the game to be incomplete.

“Seminole Ridge left the stadium,” said Coach Banks, Inlet Groves Sports Director. “They refused to reschedule, so hopefully we can get them to reschedule or forfeit soon.”
