The Hurricanes defense continue their shutout ways from the second half of last week’s home victory over Glades Central, with a first half shutdown of the Hollywood Hills Spartans at home Friday.

The Canes nearly took the opening kickoff to the house, and Jaccory Brown ran in for the first touchdown. Emmanuel Cleonard’s conversion kick made the score 7-0 at the 8:11 mark.

Legend Felican scrambled in for the Cane’s second TD to make it 13-0 at the half when the extra-point kick was blocked.

Reece Adams’ TD run made it 26-0 with the conversion kick at 9:08 in the third quarter.

Then the Spartans came back, scoring two touchdowns to make it 26-14, which is how the game ended.

The Canes had a scare as QB Legend Felican suffered a dislocated elbow near the end of the first half.
