CAPTURING THE TASTE: On March 28, the Culinary Academy served appetizers to guests and students with many different flavors and styles in the Media Center for the Career Showcase. They were one of the best groups representing their career, said Keren Joseph, a junior in the Medical Academy.

Keren Joseph, Photo Editor
Hello! My name is Keren Joseph, a junior at the Medical Academy, and this is my second year on staff. Despite my medical career path, I deeply love and adore the arts. I have a keen eye for creativity. My hobbies include drawing, singing, and playing my French Horn. In my free time, I like to make art commissions, listen to music, and collect photo cards of my favorite K-pop idols. My past includes memorable experiences in musical theater, chorus, symphonic band, digital art, and dance. My friends say I have an uplifting presence, ready to provide a helpful hand, and they're right. I adore helping people, whether it's a sympathetic ear, assistance with an assignment, or simply being present to make someone's day brighter.

Hi, my name is Lovely Marcelus. I am a sophomore in the Pre-law academy. A few of my interests and hobbies include reading mystery and thriller books and watching action shows and movies. I have been a part of Grovewatch since my freshman year. I love picking up a camera to capture a moment and maybe in the future go into the film industry or even become a lawyer.

What's up! My name is Alaja, but everyone calls me Lála. I was in the Medical Academy but I switched my career to Journalism this year (11th grade). I was born in Brockton, MA, and moved to Florida without my parents at the age of 12. I am half Angolan and half Cape Verdean, I understand all versions of Portuguese due to my culture. I used to do/play soccer, track, cross country, taekwondo, jazz band, and advanced band. I was a tutor for the 21st-century program and a coach for a program called Playworks. I love food, music, theories, my two dogs, hanging out with friends, and, of course, talking! I am everywhere and nowhere at the same time, so have fun looking for me.
Elijah Goring
Elijah Goring, Staff Writer
Howdy, My name is Elijah, and I'm a Senior in the Web Design Academy. This is my second year working for the publications staff, and my goal this year is to help produce an even better yearbook than last year and tell the best possible story of the 2023-24 school year. In my free time, I like to make money and bully my best friend, Alaja Depina, who is supposedly an editor as well. Last year I took sports pictures, some around campus and on trips, and I was one of the Photo Editors. I look forward to my third track season this year, where I can finally crush my rivals because I'm better than all of them.
