A young Black girl with dreams so wide, The world feels heavy by her side.
They tell her, “Be strong, don’t ever fall,”
But strength gets tired, after all.
She studies late, she fights her fear, She wipes her eyes so no one hears.
The weight to shine, to lead, to prove-A burden she did not choose.
Yet still she rises every day, With hope that will not fade away.
For deep inside, her soul can see, She’s building who she’s meant to be.
Her crown is love, her roots are deep, Her dreams are promises she’ll keep.
Though life feels heavy, she’ll succeed
