Pharmacy works

Ms. Blair of the Medical Academy and  two of her students, sophomores Anson Wu and Princley Jean Baptiste, went to a JFK Medical Center to meet with instructors from Nova Southeastern University School of Pharmacy, and pharmacy directors from JFK North, to discover the roles of being a pharmacist on Jan. 31.

“The event helped to confirm the students’ decision to become a pharmacist,” said Ms. Blair.

She added that the visit gave students direct exposure to working pharmacists and the opportunity to observe what goes on in a hospital pharmacy.

“The students told me that they really enjoyed the entire day and it reaffirmed their passion and drive to become a pharmacist,” she said.

“It was a great experience to be in to pursue being a pharmacist,” Jean Baptiste said.

Ms. Blair said it was a well organized event to participate in.
