In what the judges called “one of the toughest fields to judge in years,” Inlet Grove’s GroveWatch placed 3rd in the General Excellence Website category at the Palm Beach Post High School Journalism Awards Luncheon at the Hilton in West Palm Beach on May 3.

First place went to The Legend of Suncoast High School, followed by The Muse of Dreyfoos School of the Arts.

There were 13 categories in which the judges gave their criticism and selected the winners.

“This year’s luncheon has not only encouraged me to do better but also inspired me and let me know that we are on our way to the top,” said GroveWatch.com Editor-in-Chief Brianna Luberisse, a sophomore in the Journalism Academy. “Getting third lets me know that we are doing good with the newspaper.”

GroveWatch Food Editor Dakota Sands, a sophomore in the Culinary Academy,  said “This year was totally different from last year’s luncheon. It was new, and it was fun. Now I know what the judges are looking for next year.”
