Choshi wa do! (wassup!) My name's Alyssa Mariana and I'm a senior in the TV and Film Production Academy. Online I'm known as Prince or Jace with a few hundred followers where I often post my writings, illustrations, and videos. I'm mainly Japanese and Puerto Rican and identify as gender ambiguous. I culturally identify more with Japanese whereas I don't mind being called "he" or "she" since I'm often called both interchangeably. I'm Director of the Hurricane Video News club where my staff and I produce the GWTV Weekly News. Aside from directing, I write the news script, plan out segments, occasionally anchor, and edit the final product. Editing and anything regarding multimedia for that matter is one of my greatest passions so naturally it's my hobby and the career I'm pursuing.

STILL CHAINED: The illustration depicts how African Americans still turn to religion after the hardships theyve faced and the crimes committed by the church. Though physically freed from slavery, their minds were still chained to the religion taught to them by the Europeans. This method was meant to subdue them and have them turn to a higher power than use their own power to help their situation.
