GRAND PRIZE: After votes were cast it was time for the awards to be passed out. The Principals Award aka the Best in Show award goes to the 1969 Olympic Gold Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Convertible. Congratulations to Clay Scott on the first place prize, and all the other winners and participants.

BASKETBALL CHAMPION: Kobe Bryant was a famous basketball player who led the Los Angeles Lakers to five championships. He lost his life on Jan. 26 in a fatal helicopter crash. He was a husband and a father to four daughters (one of which died in the helicopter crash as well).

FISH N CHIPS: The menu for this Thursday teacher lunches was a classic Fish N Chips (fried fish and french fries) with a side of homemade tarter sauce for dipping.

HANDS ON: Latex gloves were donated to the Medical Academy for activities in that are performed in their curriculum. The gloves were donated by Medgluv. Medgluv donated them to the School District of Palm Beach County and from there was distributed to all middle and high school medical academies in the area. Enough were contributed for all science class students to benefit by participating in firsthand learning such as dissecting organisms. We are always grateful for donations, said Nurse Blair and thank any and all business partners, community organizations, and individuals that are gracious enough to volunteer and/or donate for our students.

THANK YOU: For todays teacher lunches the Culinary Academy students did a Thanksgiving theme. The meal consisted of turkey topped off with cranberry sauce, baked mac-&-cheese, stuffing, cornbread, collard greens and yams. For dessert the kids did a spin-off on tradition. Instead of your ordinary pumpkin pie, dessert was a strawberry shortcake with a sweet surprise on the bottom.
